Recruitment Organization: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer, is conducting the recruitment for Senior Physical Education Teacher positions in the Secondary Education Department.
Number of Posts: A total of 461 positions are being recruited. These positions are temporary and may be reduced or increased based on the vacant positions received from the department.

Horizontal Reservation:
Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen is horizontal, meaning they will be adjusted within their respective categories.
Reservation for women will also be considered horizontal within the category.
Reservation Rules:
If eligible and suitable candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) are not available, the vacancies will be carried forward for the next three recruitment years.
If eligible candidates are not available for reserved posts for Other Backward Class (OBC), Most Backward Class (MBC), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of Rajasthan, these posts will be filled through the general process.
Vacancies reserved for widows or divorcees may be interchanged, and if sufficient female candidates are not available, they will be filled by male candidates of the same category.
Reservation for Ex-Servicemen: If vacancies reserved for ex-servicemen remain vacant in any year, they will be filled through the general process, and an equal number of vacancies will be carried forward to the next recruitment year.
Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD): If a benchmark disabled person is not available in any recruitment year, the vacancy will be carried forward to the next recruitment year, and if no suitable person is found in the next year as well, it can be interchanged among different categories of disabilities.
Reservation for Applicants from Other States: Applicants from other states will not receive the benefit of reservation and will have to apply under the General/Unreserved category. A woman from outside Rajasthan who becomes a native of Rajasthan after marriage will also not be given the benefit of reservation.
Educational Qualification:
Must have passed a Bachelor's degree or equivalent examination recognized by the UGC.
Must have a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education/Government.
Must have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
Individuals appearing in the final year of their educational qualification can also apply, but they must provide proof of obtaining the educational qualification before the competitive examination conducted by the Commission.
Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level L-11 (Grade Pay - 4200/-). A fixed monthly salary will be payable during the probation period as per the rules of the State Government.
Age Limit:
Minimum 18 years and less than a maximum of 40 years as of January 1, 2023.
There are provisions for age relaxation for various reserved categories.
Age Relaxation:
Men from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, Most Backward Class, and Economically Weaker Section of Rajasthan will get a relaxation of 5 years.
Women from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, Most Backward Class, and Economically Weaker Section of Rajasthan will get a relaxation of 10 years.
Women from the General category will get a relaxation of 5 years.
There is no upper age limit for widows and divorcees.
In the case of an ex-prisoner who has served in a government post before conviction, the maximum age limit will not apply. Other ex-prisoners will be given a relaxation equal to the period of imprisonment.
In the case of cadet instructors, there will be a relaxation equal to the service rendered in the NCC, provided that the resulting age does not exceed the prescribed maximum age limit by more than three years.
For persons working in relation to the State, Panchayat Samitis, Zilla Parishads, and State Public Sector Undertakings/Corporations, the maximum age limit will be 40 years.
Emergency Commissioned Officers and Short Service Commissioned Officers will be considered for age relaxation after being released from the army.
Persons temporarily appointed in service will be considered for age relaxation if they were within the age limit at the time of initial appointment.
Ex-servicemen will be given a relaxation of 15 years in the maximum age limit, but if the permissible age after relaxation is more than 50 years, then the upper age limit of 50 years will apply.
Benchmark disabled persons will be given a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.
For the posts advertised in the year 2013, candidates who are overage as of January 1, 2023, will get an additional relaxation of three years in the maximum age limit.
The retirement age for government employees is 60 years.
Exam Scheme:
The examination will be for 460 marks, and a maximum of 40 marks will be given for participation in sports/tournaments.
There will be two papers: Paper I will be for 200 marks, and Paper II will be for 260 marks.
Paper-I:
Will be for a maximum of 200 marks.
The duration of the question paper will be 2 hours.
The question paper will have 100 multiple-choice questions.
The paper will include the following subjects:
Geographical, historical, cultural, and general knowledge of Rajasthan.
Current affairs of Rajasthan.
General knowledge of the world and India.
Educational psychology.
Negative marking will be applicable in the evaluation of answers. One-third of the marks prescribed for that particular question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The minimum qualifying marks for each paper will be 40%. This can be reduced by up to 5% for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Paper-II:
Will be for a maximum of 260 marks.
The duration of the question paper will be 2 hours.
The question paper will have 130 multiple-choice questions.
Negative marking will be applicable in the evaluation of answers. One-third of the marks prescribed for that particular question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The minimum qualifying marks for the paper will be 40%. This can be reduced by up to 5% for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

Recreation, camping, and yoga.
Marks Based on Sports Certificates: A maximum of 40 marks will be given based on the certificate of participation and position obtained in sports competitions.
Participation at the international level or winner at the national level: 40 marks.
Second position at the national level: 36 marks.
Third position at the national level: 32 marks.
Participation at the national level or winner at the state level: 28 marks.
Second position at the state level: 24 marks.
Third position at the state level: 20 marks.
Participation at the state level or winner at the district level: 16 marks.
Second position at the district level: 12 marks.
Third position at the district level: 8 marks.
Participation at the district level: 4 marks.
Sports Levels:
District Level: District-level school tournaments of the Elementary Education Department and Secondary Education Department, cluster-level school tournaments of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and inter-college tournaments of universities.
State Level: State-level school tournaments of the Elementary Education Department and Secondary Education Department, national-level school tournaments of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and inter-university tournaments at the zone level.
National Level: School sports tournaments organized by the School Games Federation of India, and inter-university tournaments at the national or inter-zone level.
International Level: Participation in international tournaments through the School Games Federation of India, University Sports Association, or Indian Sports Federation.
Verification of Sports Certificates:
Only sports certificates verified by the Secretary of the Rajasthan Sports Council or the head of the institution will be valid.
The sports certificate of participation in international tournaments through the School Games Federation of India, University Sports Association, or Indian Sports Federation will be valid only if it is verified by the respective association/federation.
Application Process:
Online applications can be submitted from July 15, 2022, to August 13, 2022, until 12:00 midnight.

To apply online, candidates will have to do a One Time Registration (OTR) through the Commission's online portal or SSO portal.
For OTR, the applicant's name, father's name, date of birth, gender, details of secondary/equivalent examination, and details of any one of the Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Voter Card/Driving License ID, and documents will have to be uploaded.
Application Fee:
For applicants from the General (Unreserved) category and the creamy layer category of Other Backward Class/Most Backward Class of Rajasthan: ₹350.
For applicants from the non-creamy layer category of Other Backward Class/Most Backward Class and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of Rajasthan: ₹250.
For Persons with Disabilities, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe category of Rajasthan, and those whose family income is less than 2.50 lakhs: ₹150.
For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe of TSP area and Saharia primitive tribe applicants of all tehsils of Baran district: ₹150.
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class/Most Backward Class/Economically Weaker Section candidates from other states other than Rajasthan will be considered as General category candidates.
For all category candidates whose family's annual income is less than ₹2.50 lakhs, the application fee will be the same as for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Important Points:
Enter the correct mobile number and e-mail ID in the online application, on which information related to the examination/interview/result etc. will be sent by the Commission.
Do not change the mobile number and address entered in the application form. If it is necessary to change, inform the Commission immediately.
Fill the application form carefully. Submit it finally only after filling all the entries correctly.
Apply online without waiting for the last date of application.
If there is any kind of error while filling the application, the responsibility will be of the applicant himself.
If the applicant applies in a category different from his category, then modification in the application form will not be allowed.
The eligibility of the candidates will be checked based on the information filled in the online application.
Issuance of admit card for the examination does not mean that the candidature has been finally accepted by the Commission.
If a candidate does not submit the detailed application form to the Commission, it will be assumed that he is not interested in the post and his candidature will be cancelled.
Even if a woman in the widow/divorcee category remarries after the last date of application, she will get the benefit of this category.
Applicants should apply only if they meet all the criteria.
It is mandatory to follow the instructions given in the OMR sheet during the examination.
In case of error in the question paper or more than one answer being wrong/correct, the Commission will have the right to accept the result issued on the basis of the final answer key prepared by the subject experts of the Commission.
Action can be taken against the candidate for any kind of misconduct or use of unfair means at the examination center.
The benefits payable to a state employee are available only to the employees of the state of Rajasthan.
Eligibility will be checked from the original documents upon being declared passed in the examination/main examination/review examination.
The caste certificate should be issued by the last date of online application.
The entries of residence and creamy layer/non-creamy layer should be correctly filled in the certificate of Other Backward Class/Most Backward Class.
A married female applicant will have to submit a caste certificate issued by the competent authority based on her father's name, residence, and income.
The certificate of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe should be issued in the prescribed format by the competent authority.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates will have to submit an income and property certificate issued by the competent authority as per rules.
Educational/training qualification must be acquired by the last date of application/date of examination/date of interview (whichever is mentioned in the advertisement).
An ex-serviceman should have retired after earning a pension or should be retiring within the next one year and should have obtained a No Objection Certificate from the competent authority.
Marriage registration is mandatory for appointment in the service of the State Government.
Those having more than two children on or after June 1, 2002, will not be eligible for appointment in service.
The applicant will have to submit a character certificate from the last educational institution.
After selection, the applicant will have to submit a police verification certificate regarding conduct.
The applicant will have to submit a medical certificate stating that he is completely healthy and fully suitable for state service.
Candidates working in government service will have to submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
