Key Points of Hostel Superintendent Recruitment Process in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) conducts a recruitment process for 112 posts of Hostel Superintendent 2024 under the Minority Affairs Department in Rajasthan. The main points of this process are as follows:

1. Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary (Old Scheme) / Senior Secondary or equivalent examination from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. Additionally, the candidate should possess an 'O' level or higher certificate in Computer Science from an institute recognized by the Department of Electronics, Government of India, or equivalent qualifications such as a Computer Operator and Programming Assistant certificate, Data Preparation and Computer Software certificate, Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Applications, Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering, or the Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology (RSCIT).
Language: The candidate should have knowledge of working in Hindi in the Devanagari script and be familiar with the culture of Rajasthan.
Age Limit: As of January 1, 2025, the candidate's age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years. Male candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation, while female candidates of these categories are eligible for a 10-year age relaxation. The maximum age limit for ex-servicemen is 50 years. Age relaxation is also provided to disabled persons. There is no upper age limit for widowed and divorced women.

2. Application Process:

Online Application: Interested and eligible candidates must apply online through the official website of RSMSSB.
Application Fee: The registration fee is ₹600 for the General category, ₹400 for the Non-Creamy Layer OBC/MBC, EWS, SC/ST categories of Rajasthan, and ₹400 for all disabled candidates.
Important Dates: The last date for submitting the online application and payment of fees is March 20, 2024.

3. Selection Process:

Written Examination: Candidates will be selected based on a written examination conducted by RSMSSB.

4. Appointment:

Document Verification: Candidates who pass the written examination will be called for document verification.

5. Other Important Points:

Reservation: As per the rules of the Government of Rajasthan, reservations are provided for SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories, women, ex-servicemen, disabled persons, and outstanding sports persons.
Scribe: Visually impaired and physically challenged candidates will be provided with a scribe during the examination.
Unfair Means: Candidates found using unfair means during the examination may face action under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2022.
