Tax Assistant Direct Recruitment Examination 2018: Brief Overview of the Advertisement
1. Number of Posts:
A total of 162 posts of Tax Assistant were to be filled through this examination in the Commercial Tax Department.
Out of these, 148 posts were reserved for the non-scheduled area and 14 posts for the scheduled area.
2. Important Dates:
The period for online application and fee submission was from 19th April 2018 to 18th May 2018.
The examination was expected to be conducted in August 2018.
3. Application Process:
Applications were accepted only online.
Applicants could apply via E-Mitra kiosk, Jan Suvidha Kendra, net banking, debit card, or credit card.
Handwritten applications were not accepted.
4. Educational Qualification:
Candidates were required to have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or Electronics.
Candidates needed to have a typing speed of 20 words per minute in both Hindi and English.
Knowledge of working in Hindi written in Devanagari script and familiarity with Rajasthan’s culture were also required.
5. Age Limit:
The applicant's age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as of 1st January 2019.
There were provisions for age relaxation for various categories such as women, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities, Ex-servicemen, etc.
6. Examination Fee:
The examination fee varied according to the category:
General category and creamy layer OBC/most backward classes applicants: ₹450/-
Non-creamy layer OBC/most backward classes applicants of Rajasthan: ₹350/-
All persons with disabilities and SC/ST applicants of Rajasthan: ₹250/-

8. Other Important Points:
Reservations were available for women, ex-servicemen, outstanding sportspersons, persons with disabilities, SC/ST, etc.
Applicants were advised to carefully read all the instructions and accurately fill out their online application forms with all necessary information.
Providing incorrect information in the application form could result in action against the applicant.
Any candidate using unfair means in the examination would be disqualified.
