Important Points Regarding School Lecturer and Coach Positions in Rajasthan:
1. Recruitment Details:
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer, has invited online applications for the recruitment of School Lecturers (Pradhyapak) and Coaches for the Secondary Education Department.
These positions are temporary, and the total number of vacancies received from the department may be decreased or increased.

3. Horizontal Reservation:
Reservation of posts for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen is horizontal, meaning that the candidate belonging to a particular category will be adjusted within that category.
4. Reservation-Related Rules:
If eligible and suitable candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) are not available, the vacancies will be carried forward for the next three recruitment years. Even after this, if the posts are not filled, they will be filled as per the general procedure.
If eligible candidates are not found for the posts reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC), Most Backward Classes (MBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), these posts will be filled through general procedure as per rules.
Vacancies reserved for widows and divorced women can be interchanged, and if eligible candidates are still not found, they will be filled by other women of the same category, and finally by men.
5. Age Limit:
The minimum age should be 21 years and the maximum age should be 40 years (as of January 1, 2023).
Age relaxation is provided for various categories:
5 years relaxation for male candidates of SC, ST, OBC, MBC, and EWS of Rajasthan.
10 years relaxation for female candidates of SC, ST, OBC, MBC, and EWS of Rajasthan.
5 years relaxation for female candidates of the General category.
No maximum age limit for widows and divorced women.
10 years relaxation in the maximum age limit for ex-servicemen, but it should not exceed 50 years. If experience in a lower post is required, the maximum age limit will be 55 years.
5 years relaxation in the upper age limit for persons with disabilities.
The various provisions for age relaxation will not be considered cumulative, meaning that only one provision will be applicable.
6. Essential Educational Qualifications:
For post serial numbers 6 to 20: Postgraduate degree recognized by UGC in the relevant subject and a degree or diploma in education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education/Government.
For post serial number 1 (Biology): Postgraduate degree recognized by UGC in Zoology/Botany/Microbiology/Biotechnology, along with the study of Botany and Zoology at the graduate level and a degree or diploma in education.
For post serial number 2 (Commerce): Postgraduate degree recognized by UGC in Commerce with B.Com. or a Postgraduate in Commerce recognized by UGC, with two teaching subjects for higher secondary classes.
For post serial number 3 (Music): Postgraduate degree in Music recognized by UGC or equivalent qualification declared by the government.
For post serial number 4 (Drawing): Postgraduate degree in Drawing recognized by UGC or equivalent qualification declared by the government. Or a five-year diploma in art from a school/college of art recognized by the government.
For post serial number 5 (Agriculture): Postgraduate degree in Agriculture recognized by UGC in Agricultural Science/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry, along with a degree or diploma in education.
For post serial numbers 21 to 25 (Coach): Bachelor's degree recognized by UGC and a degree or diploma in Physical Education and a certificate from the National Institute of Sports (NIS).
For post serial number 26 (Physical Education): Bachelor's degree recognized by UGC and a postgraduate degree in Physical Education.
Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture is essential.
Individuals appearing in the final year of the required educational qualification can also apply, but they must provide proof of obtaining the educational qualification before the competitive examination conducted by the commission.
7. Pay Scale:
Pay Matrix Level L-12 (Grade Pay - 4800/-).
Fixed monthly salary (fixed pay) will be payable during the probation period as per the rules of the State Government.
The application period is from 05-05-2022 to 04-06-2022 until 12:00 midnight.
For online application, candidates must do a One Time Registration (OTR) on the commission's online portal.
After filling the application form, the examination fee must be paid and the application ID generated.
Do not use any other portal to pay the examination fee.
Any type of error in the application form can be corrected by paying the prescribed fee (₹500).
9. Examination Scheme:
The examination will have two papers: Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I: 150 marks, duration 1.5 hours.
Paper II: 300 marks, duration 3 hours.
Both papers will have multiple-choice questions.
Negative marking will be applicable in the evaluation of answers. One-third of the marks prescribed for that question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
The minimum qualifying marks in each paper will be 40%, which may be reduced by up to 5% for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.
10. Examination Syllabus:
Paper I (General Studies):
History of Rajasthan and Indian history, with special emphasis on the Indian National Movement.
General science, Indian politics, geography of Rajasthan.
Educational management, educational scenario in Rajasthan, Free and Compulsory Education Act for Children, 2009.
Paper II (Related Subject):
Knowledge of the related subject: Senior Secondary level.
Knowledge of the related subject: Graduate level.
Knowledge of the related subject: Postgraduate level.
Educational psychology, pedagogy, teaching-learning materials, use of computers and information technology in teaching-learning.
Paper II for Coach Posts:
Knowledge of physical education and sports.
Sports science.
General theory and method of training.
Specific knowledge of the sports/games and its current affairs.
Examination Scheme for Physical Education Posts:
The examination will be of 460 marks, in which a maximum of 40 marks will be given for participation in sports/tournaments.
Paper I will be of 200 marks and Paper II will be of 260 marks.
11. Sports Certificates:
Additional marks will be given based on participation and position in sports competitions.
Participation at the international level or winner at the national level: 40 marks.
Second place at the national level: 36 marks.
Third place at the national level: 32 marks.
Participation at the national level or winner at the state level: 28 marks.
Second place at the state level: 24 marks.
Third place at the state level: 20 marks.
Participation at the state level or winner at the district level: 16 marks.
Second place at the district level: 12 marks.
Third place at the district level: 8 marks.
Participation at the district level: 4 marks.
Sports certificates must be verified by the Secretary of the Rajasthan Sports Council or the head of the institution.
12. Examination Fee:
For applicants of the General category and the creamy layer category of Other Backward Class/Most Backward Class of Rajasthan: ₹350.
For applicants of the non-creamy layer category of Other Backward Class/Most Backward Class and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of Rajasthan: ₹250.
For applicants who are Persons with Disabilities, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe of Rajasthan, and those whose family income is less than 2.50 lakhs: ₹150.
For applicants of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe of TSP area and Sahariya primitive tribe of Baran district: ₹150.
SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS candidates from other states different from the state of Rajasthan will be considered as General category candidates and will have to pay the examination fee prescribed for General category candidates.
13. Important Instructions:
Candidates should fill in their mobile number and e-mail ID correctly in the online application form.
Read all the instructions carefully before filling the application form.
Consider all the entries filled in the application form as correct.
The commission may disqualify the candidate for giving wrong information or concealing facts.
If there is an error in the application form, it can be corrected within the prescribed period.
14. Verification of Certificates:
To avail the benefit of reservation, candidates will have to submit caste certificates issued by the last date of online application.
The entries of residence and creamy layer/non-creamy layer should be correct in the certificate of Other Backward Class/Most Backward Class.
Married female applicants will have to submit a caste certificate based on their father's name and residence.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates will have to submit an income and property certificate issued by the competent authority.
Educational qualification and experience certificates should be received by the last date of application.
Ex-servicemen will have to submit a certificate of retirement after earning their pension.
It is also necessary to submit a marriage certificate.
Candidates with more than two children after June 1, 2002, will not be eligible for appointment in the service.
A woman of widow/divorced category will have to give an affidavit of not remarrying.
A character certificate from the last educational institution has to be submitted.
A police verification certificate regarding conduct has to be submitted after selection.
Candidates working in government service will have to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
