Livestock Assistant Recruitment 2022: Detailed Overview of Important Points

• Position Details: A direct recruitment was announced for a total of 1136 posts of Livestock Assistant in the Rajasthan Animal Husbandry Department. Out of these, 981 posts were reserved for non-scheduled areas and 155 posts for scheduled areas.

• Important Dates:

  • Online application submission period: From March 19, 2022, to April 17, 2022 (until 11:59 PM).
  • Exam Date: June 4, 2022.

• Application Process:

  • Applications were accepted only online.
  • Candidates could apply through Rajasthan’s designated e-Mitra kiosks/public service centers, net banking, debit card, or credit card.
  • An SSO ID was mandatory for applying.

• Application Fee:

  • General category/Kimmilayer OBC/Extremely Backward Classes: ₹450/-
  • Non-Kimmilayer OBC/Extremely Backward Classes/EWS from Rajasthan: ₹350/-
  • All special category persons/SC/ST from Rajasthan: ₹250/-
  • Candidates from all categories with a family annual income less than ₹2.50 lakhs: ₹250/-

• Educational Qualifications:

  • Senior Secondary with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Horticulture (Agriculture), Animal Husbandry, and Biology from the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education or equivalent.
  • And
  • A one-year/two-year training in Livestock Assistant from a recognized institution by the Rajasthan Government.
  • Proficiency in Hindi written in Devanagari script and working knowledge of one Rajasthani dialect.

• Age Limit (as of January 1, 2023):

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 40 years

• Age Relaxation: Provisions for age relaxation were available for various categories such as women, SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS, ex-servicemen, differently-abled candidates, etc.

• Reservation:

  • Horizontal Reservation: For women, ex-servicemen, outstanding athletes, departmental employees, and differently-abled persons.
  • Vertical Reservation: For Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections, and Sahariya tribe in Baran district.

• Differently-Abled Candidates:

  • 4% reservation
  • Facilities for scribes were available for visually impaired, low vision (minimum 40% vision impaired) candidates and physically disabled (with missing hands or fingers) candidates.
