Laboratory Assistant Recruitment 2022: Key Points
1. Post Details:
- The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has invited online applications for the posts of Laboratory Assistant (Science), Junior Laboratory Assistant (Science), Laboratory Assistant (Geography), and Laboratory Assistant (Home Science) in the Secondary Education Department, Agriculture Department, Commissionerate of College Education, and State Forensic Science Laboratory.
- A total of 1,012 posts are available, with 735 posts for non-scheduled areas and 277 posts for scheduled areas.
2. Application Process:
- Interested candidates must fill out the online application form in the prescribed format, which can be submitted through the state's designated e-Mitra kiosk/Jan Suvidha Kendra.
- Before applying, candidates must create their SSO ID and remember their SSO ID and password.
- The last date to submit the online application is April 23, 2022.
3. Application Fee:
- ₹450 for applicants from the General category and the creamy layer of OBC/MBC.
- ₹350 for applicants from the non-creamy layer of OBC/MBC and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of Rajasthan.
- ₹250 for all specially-abled applicants and those from the SC/ST categories of Rajasthan.
- The examination fee for applicants from all categories with an annual family income of less than ₹2.50 lakh is ₹250.
4. Important Dates:
- Online application submission period: March 25, 2022, to April 23, 2022
- Examination dates: June 28 and 29, 2022
5. Educational Qualifications:
- For Laboratory Assistant (Science) in the Secondary Education Department: Passed Senior Secondary with at least three subjects from Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics.
- For Laboratory Assistant (Science) and Junior Laboratory Assistant (Science) in other departments: Passed Senior Secondary or equivalent examination with Science subjects from a recognized board.
- For Laboratory Assistant (Geography): Passed Senior Secondary or equivalent examination with Geography from a recognized board.
- For Laboratory Assistant (Home Science): Passed Senior Secondary or equivalent examination with Home Science from a recognized board.
- Knowledge of working in Hindi written in Devanagari script and awareness of Rajasthan's culture is mandatory for all posts.
6. Age Limit (as of January 1, 2023):
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 40 years
7. Age Relaxation:
- 5 years of relaxation for male candidates from SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories.
- 5 years of relaxation for female candidates from the General category.
- 10 years of relaxation for female candidates from SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories.
