Rajasthan Physical Education Teacher Direct Recruitment - 2022: A Brief Overview

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), Jaipur, invited online applications for the recruitment of 5546 vacant posts of Physical Education Teachers in the Department of Secondary Education. This recruitment was conducted under the Rajasthan Subordinate Service Rules - 2021 and the Rajasthan Scheduled Area Subordinate Ministerial and Class IV Service (Recruitment and Other Conditions of Service) Rules, 2014.

1. Application Process

• Applications were accepted only through online mode.

2. Important Dates

3. Exam Format:

• The exam was for 460 marks, of which 40 marks were awarded based on participation in sports competitions.
• There were two papers:
  • Paper I: 200 marks, 2 hours, 100 multiple-choice questions, covering Rajasthan general knowledge, current affairs, India and world general knowledge, and educational psychology.
  • Paper II: 260 marks (including 40 marks for sports participation), 2 hours, 130 multiple-choice questions, covering general knowledge of physical education, history of sports and physical education, principles of physical education, educational and sports psychology, methods of physical education, principles of training, anatomy, health education, recreation, camps, and yoga.
• Negative marking was applied in both papers.
• The minimum passing marks for each paper were 40%, while for SC/ST candidates, it was 35%.

5. Marks Based on Participation in Sports Competitions

Up to 40 marks were awarded based on participation and performance in international, national, state, and district-level sports competitions.
