Library Head Grade-III Direct Recruitment - 2022 Examination: A Brief Overview
1. Purpose of the Examination:
This examination is being conducted under the Rajasthan Education Subordinate Service Rules-2021 and the Rajasthan Scheduled Area Subordinate Ministerial and Fourth Grade Service (Recruitment and Other Service Conditions) Rules, 2014, to fill the vacant posts of Library Head Grade-III in the Secondary Education Department.
2. Details of the Posts:
A total of 460 posts will be recruited, of which 394 posts are reserved for non-scheduled areas and 66 posts for scheduled areas. The district-wise and category-wise classification of these posts is detailed in the advertisement.
3. Important Dates:
- Start of online application: May 26, 2022
- Last date for submitting online application and exam fee: June 24, 2022
- Possible month of examination: September 2022
4. Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India. Additionally, citizens of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees (under certain conditions), and persons of Indian origin (under certain conditions) can also apply.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination.
- A certificate/diploma/degree in Library Science from a recognized institution is also required.
- Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and awareness of Rajasthan's culture is expected.
- Age Limit:
- Minimum age of 18 years and maximum age of 40 years as of January 1, 2023.
- There are provisions for age relaxation for various categories such as Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, women, ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities.
- Other Requirements:
- Good mental and physical health.
- Good character.
5. Examination Fee:
- General category/Creamy Layer: ₹450
- Non-Creamy Layer OBC/EWS from Rajasthan: ₹350
- SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities from Rajasthan: ₹250
- All categories with a family annual income of less than ₹2.50 lakh: ₹250
